Raptor Awareness

Not only will you see different species of raptors, but you'll also learn a vulture's secret weapon and how to identify a bird of prey in the wild. Sit back and enjoy an up close and person view as some of the birds soar right over head.

What might it have been like to live before anyone had thought of all the modern conveniences we have today? This is the story of on such caveman and his family. It is told by Leon Van Weelden, with over twenty hand and rod puppets, special effects, and panoramic scenery.

Expect to be spellbound! Your students will go on an adventure to Ancient Egypt with an Egyptian host. Help unravel the mysteries, myths, and legends of ancient Egypt. The speaker will talk about the history of Ancient Egypt, culture, and geography. Egyptian educators will showcase live animal ambassadors and artifacts from Egypt and will talk about the important role that animals played in this ancient culture. They will also talk about natural behaviors, natural history and conservation education.

This award-winning, highly entertaining and educational show will allow the students to meet some of the world's most exciting and fascinating animals from the safety of their seats. Wildlife Encounters will showcase live animals from around the world and talk about their survival, natural history, geography, natural behaviors, and conservation education.

“Animal Mysteries Uncovered”

Dianne Moran, a Missouri naturalist and folklorist from Richwoods, Missouri, will appeared this summer. Moran is a storyteller and holds the attention of children during the presentation. Then, one by one, she released her captive creatures for the childen to experience first-hand. Her presentation includes the display of several crawly creatures, including a milk snake, a legless lizard and a boa constrictor. Moran explains the nature of each animal, its feeding habits and habitat, and talks about many misconceptions people have regarding some of the snakes and reptiles that "visited" with the children.
