Over 7000 American and NATO personnel received flight training at the Malden Airfield from 1942 to 1960. The first class of WWII aviation cadets graduated in July 1943. Deactivated in 1948, the base was reactivated in 1951 for the Korean Conflict. Mike Williams will speak about the flyers, officers, and civilian employees of the Malden Airfield.
